Up for auction is the gold tiger finial which was once a part of the world famous octagonal throne of Tipu Sultan of Mysore in India. Fit for a king, this gem encrusted finial is cast in gold and measures seven cm.
This gem encrusted finial once adorned the throne of the tiger of Mysore and is now ready to go under the hummer at the Bonhams auction house in London. It is expected to sell for around £800,000.
